Fort Gay.

with one comment

Believe it or not this is a real place.  It is a town in West Virginia, which is west… of Virginia. Now that the geography lesson is over, let us dive into why I am talking about Fort Gay. A man by the name of Josh Moore who is 26 and unemployed lives here and used to be an industrial laborer. Josh is also a gamer on Xbox Live, and put the place he lives as, “Fort Gay, WV” in his profile under location.  Seeing as how this is a real place, he cannot get into any trouble right? No, wrong. His account was banned because of the fact he lives in Fort Gay, WV. He called Xbox Live many a time to try and reason with them, even gave them his zip code for them to Google just so he could get his account back. Also he went and talked to the mayor of Fort Gay to try and talk Xbox Live into getting his account back. Xbox also instituted a new rule allowing people to have their sexual beliefs in their gamertags. Josh did get his account back along with an apology.

To be honest, if you can have your sexual beliefs in your gamertag, then it should not be any difference to put it into your profile.

This takes “Facebook stalking” to a whole new level.

While on CNN I discovered an article that says Facebook is testing out a new thing where people can subscribe to someone and see everything that they post.  It is almost like the “Subscribe via SMS” thing they have, but this actually notifies you of everything you post instead of just statuses. This will alert you of a new link they post, status, etc. This is kind of creepy. Although it can be used to keep track of your kids on Facebook. But if you have to keep track of your children on Facebook, why do they have a Facebook? Hmmm. This is just going to make me think even more about adding random people as well. Now if I add them they can subscribe to see every little thing I do? That is just not right. But when you think about it they can technically see everything  I post. My point being: this is going to give you a notification in your upper left like it were someone commenting on your status or the such. This to me just takes “Facebook stalking” to a whole other level. I hope they do not let people who are not your friends be able to subscribe to every little thing you do. If that does happen, I will probably delete my Facebook.

The coolest thing I have ever seen.

When I talked about the new iPod’s a couple of days ago I mentioned that the Nano had a belt clip attached to it. I never mentioned, or even though about doing what this guy did. He took a wrist watch strap and made a watch out of the Nano. I think a couple of you as well as many other people are going, “Well hey, why didn’t I think of that?” Here is the picture of it;

And here is the link to that article; http://www.engadget.com/2010/09/06/visualized-the-apple-iwatch/

I have to admit that this makes me want the Nano just that much more.
